Giving Back To Tucson
Volunteer groups and non-profit organizations do so much to help the communities that all of us are a part of, but they can’t do it alone. Alvernon Optical has dedicated our support to these local organizations.
Youth on Their Own (YOTO)
YOTO is a local non-profit organization dedicated to support the high school graduation and continued success of homeless youth by providing financial assistance, basic human needs and guidance. Their vision is to empower young people on their own to become positive and productive citizens of our community. A high school diploma is crucial to achieving future success.
Alvernon Optical and its independent doctors of optometry have pledged to provide annual eye exams and basic eyeglasses to YOTO™ teens who are working hard to achieve their high school diploma. Healthy vision and good eyesight is vital to learning.
Sun Sounds of Arizona
Sun Sounds of Arizona provides access to audio information for people who cannot read print. They make creative use of technology and talent to ensure that every visually challenged person has access to current information that is necessary for a self-directed, productive life.
For over 20 years Alvernon Optical has supported this wonderful reading service through financial donations.
